The Hispanic American Council advocates for and serves Hispanic Communities in Southwestern Michigan. Our initiatives, programs and services foster self-sufficiency, promote our cultural heritage, and encourage relationships with the broader community.

 

The Council is a National Council of La Raza Affiliate, Greater Kalamazoo United Way Agency and a participant in the Arcus Foundation’s Michigan Racial & Economic Justice Initiative. Our mission is to promote and support meaningful participation of Hispanics in the life of Southwest Michigan.

 

The Hispanic American Council has programs in the following areas:
